Lucan was chosen by councillors to pilot the initiative in 2017.

Following this, the Clondalkin electoral area was chosen to benefit from the scheme in 2018, with €300,000 allocated for the electoral area, which contains Clondalkin, Newcastle and Rathcoole.

Residents, through a combination of locally facilitated workshops and an online consultation portal consult.sdublincoco.ie, are invited to submit their spending proposals for this extra budget.

The aim of the initiative is to give individuals and communities the opportunity to input suggestions as to how this €300k budget is used in a way that will benefit their locality.

Residents can register an account to make a submission on the consult.sdublincoco.ie site.

Registration is a one-time process and your account can be used for all of the council's online public consultations.

Participants will be able to record their submissions across multiple consultations, and save the progress of partially completed submissions to complete at a later date.
