On this day in 1996: Building a hooker and learning Irish in Clondalkin

On this day in 1996 the RTE cameras visited Áras Chrónáin in Clondalkin to hear about how the small gaeltacht area in Dublin was thriving.

Using social activities to help them improve and maintain their Irish, those featured are seen building a hooker.

Those who feature include Mícheál Ó Hifearnaín, Mícheál Ó Srutháin, Stiofán Ó Laoire and Brian Ó Gáibhín.

The episode of the Irish language series “Tintean” was broadcast on March 21, 1996.
