Gardai confirm report of attempted child abduction in Lucan was ‘false complaint’

A report of a suspicious approach made to a child in Lucan last night at approximately 7pm has been deemed to be false by Gardai.

Last night Gardai confirmed they were investigating a report of a suspicious approach made to an 11-year-old boy in the Moy Glas area.

When contacted by Echo.ie this morning Gardai confirmed that following investigations, the report was found to be a false complaint.

It had been alleged that the boy had been dragged from the back garden of his home while he was playing.
