Pedestrian killed and another injured in Newcastle Road accident

Gardaí in Clondalkin are investigating a fatal collision which occurred last night on the R120 Newcastle Road.

Shortly before 9pm a male pedestrian aged in his 60s was seriously injured when he was struck by a 4x4 vehicle.

He was treated at the scene by Emergency Services but pronounced dead a short time later.

A female pedestrian (17) was also injured, her injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

Garda Forensic Collision Investigators are at the scene, the road has re-opened.
