Road closures to facilitate festival

THERE will be a number of road closures in Lucan on Sunday, September 8, from 10am to 7pm to facilitate The Lucan Festival.

The following road closures will be in place.

The N4 Slip Road to Lucan Inbound will be closed. Access to Lucan village will be by Adamstown Road at the Newcastle Junction and N4 Slip Road at Woodies.

The Celbridge Road at Ardeevin Avenue will also be closed. Traffic will be diverted at Celbridge Road Ardeevin Ave and will not be allowed progress into Lucan Village.

Traffic will be diverted onto Ardeevin Estate exiting back onto the N4.

The N4 / Adamstown Road at Newcastle Junction will be closed. The Main Street in Lucan will be closed and traffic will be diverted onto the Lucan Road. Traffic wishing to travel to Clonsilla and Strawberry Beds may use the N4/Lucan Road exit at Woodies.

There will be no restrictions to traffic at the Newcastle Junction. Traffic will be allowed to travel down the Adamstown Road into Lucan village turning right only onto the Lucan Road.

The N4 / Lucan Road at Woodies will also be closed. There will be no restrictions on traffic at the N4 Woodies turn off into Lucan.

Traffic travelling to Leixlip should remain on the N4 and exit at Junction 5.

Main Street Lucan at Ulster Bank will be closed. Access to the N4 will be via Old Hill / Lucan Road and Adamstown Road. Traffic will not be allowed travel up Main Street, Lucan.

Traffic coming from the Strawberry Beds, Clonsilla and Laraghcon will be diverted to Old Hill Lucan. Main Street: There will be no vehicular traffic allowed to travel onto Main Street Lucan for the duration of the restrictions.

The roads will open again to the Public after 7pm.
