Action on litter collects 25 bags

IT WAS another busy day last Saturday for the Dodder Action Group with 13 volunteers picking up 25 bags of rubbish.

It’s hard to believe but the group removed several bikes from the Dodder along Whitestown Way and scooters, doors, sewing machines, along with building rubble.

The group hopes to add more clean-up points along the Tallaght Dodder and Whitestown / Tallaght Stream and Poddle stream in the near future.

The group is now looking forward to the big Dodder Day Clean-Up on Saturday, April 27.

Dodder Action needs every volunteer out on the day, including local residents and businesses.

Last year they received great support with 1,000 volunteers turning up (450 on the Dodder and 550 volunteers on other rivers also joined in).

The group wants to beat this number this year and go all across Dublin with full support from South Dublin County Council and Dublin City Council.
