Citywest centre capacity moves

By Laura Lyne

PLANS to increase the capacity of the Citywest Conference Centre continue to move, as additional information has been submitted to South Dublin County Council by the applicant, Cape Wrath Hotel Ltd.

The information was submitted following a request for additional information by the council to address concerns surrounding the number of developments currently ongoing in the surrounding Citywest area and the traffic management surrounding these developments.

Additional information was also requested about the number of events on-site per day and the opening hours of nearby car parks, restaurants and bars and the frequency of the Luas.

Improvements to the footpath from the Luas stop to Citywest conference centre were also required and clarification on work currently ongoing on the overflow car park located within the Citywest hotel and conference centre complex.

Details on a taxi call-point for the complex and a noise assessment on the building was also requested as part of the additional information.

Following the submission of additional information, a decision from South Dublin County Council is due by May 19.
