Gardai investigate attempted burglaries

OVER a single night last week, there were two attempted burglaries centred on two houses in Tymonville, and a warehouse in Ballymount Industrial Estate was also burgled and a large amount of merchandise was stolen.

In the early hours of last Thursday morning there was an attempted burglary at a house in the Tymonville Road area at approximately 4am, according to gardai, who also stated that criminal damage was caused to the back door of the property but entry was not gained.

On the same night, at a time between 1am and 7am, an attempted burglary took place at a house in the Tymonville Avenue area with gardai stating that damage was caused to a window, but entry was not gained.

At approximately 4.40am a warehouse in Ballymount Industrial Estate was burgled, and a garda spokesperson said that “a large amount of merchandise was stolen and investigations are ongoing”.
