‘Killinardan’ signage on bypass is spelt correctly – Council

By Echo Reporter

CONTINUED confusion surrounding the spelling of “Killinardan” on signage on the Tallaght bypass was highlighted at the recent meeting of the Tallaght Area Committee.

Independent councillor Dermot Richardson called for the spelling of “Killinardan” to be changed, following a number of calls by residents of the Killinarden estate.

In response, South Dublin County Council indicated that the signage was for the townland of Killinardan, which includes Killinarden estate.

It said: “The direction signage on the N81 indicate the Townland of Killinardan, and is thus spelled correctly.”
