Lucan resident named youth ambassador

LUCAN resident Ogbeyalu Okoye was among 25 Irish people announced recently as a youth ambassador for the One campaign 2016.

Originally from Nigeria, Ogbeyalu is a naturalised Irish citizen and is married with four kids.

The accountant is currently doing a post graduate degree in risk and financial analysis in Dublin Business School, and she is also a part-qualified financial adviser.

The 2016 Irish Youth Ambassador Programme was launched by Tánaiste Joan Burton.

Co-founded by Bono, One is was set up to tackle extreme poverty and preventable disease, particularly in Africa.
