Working-class hero elected President

TALLAGHT’S long-standing tradition of community education and life-long learning was highlighted nationally this week, when an early school leaver who went back to education was elected President of Trinity College’s Student Union. Lynn Ruane
For those living in Tallaght, community education successes are part and parcel of the area’s identity, progression and development – however, this week one Tallaght resident’s inspiring education journey made national news.

Living in Killinarden, mother-of-two Lynn Ruane (30) left secondary school after her Junior Certificate, when she became pregnant with her first daughter.
