Fellow Tallaght-campus student James Curry also picked up an award on the night for Best Refresher 2019 at a small college.

The Board of Irish College Societies (BICS) is a national organisation that was constituted in 1995 and is dedicated to providing a national forum for the societies in Ireland’s Universities, colleges and Institutes of Education.

They are responsible for the promotion of interest in the activities of Irish college societies and for the contact and cooperation between these societies.

After an in-depth application process involving an application form, a portfolio and an interview, over 400 students and staff from colleges and institutes around the country attended the event.

The Rainbow Society started with only five members almost 18 years ago and now has over 85 members and is one of the most active societies at TU Dublin-Tallaght Campus.
