Boy (8) dies after dog attack in Tallaght

AN eight-year-old boy attacked by two dogs at a house in the Tallaght area on Sunday afternoon has died.    

The boy who was seriously injured after he was attacked by two Rottweiler dogs.

He passed away on Monday at Children's Health Ireland (CHI) at Crumlin.

Gardai investigating the circumstances surrounding the attack, are treating it as a tragic incident.

Gardai were called to the scene on Sunday around 4pm.

The dog warden was notified and the dogs were confiscated and put to sleep.
