Delays on Luas Red Line due to serious road traffic collision

UPDATE 14:55: Luas Red Line has now fully reopened.

There are delays on the Luas Red Line this afternoon due to an incident near Heuston Station, with trams not running between Blackhorse and Smithfield.

Dublin Fire Brigade are on the scene, and Gardai have also asked commuters to be patient as they deal with the incident.

A statement from Luas operators said: “Please be advised that the Luas Red Line is operating from Saggart/Tallaght to Blackhorse and from Smithfield to Connolly/The Point only.

“No services between Blackhorse and Smithfield due to an incident on Stephen's Lane.

“Luas tickets are valid on Dublin Bus for the duration. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.”

Check for updates as we get them.
