The Irish company has been on an upward trajectory since founding in 2014, with 2018 their busiest year yet.

HealthBeacon has experienced comprehensive market penetration within Ireland, in excess of 100 per cent market growth over the last four years.

The medtech firm has doubled staffing over the last 18 months, now employing 30.

With offices in Ireland, Canada and the US, the business operates across 10 markets from the headquarters in Dublin.

The company was recently granted FDA clearance and launched into the US market, which is worth hundreds of millions of dollars.

HealthBeacon develops smart tools for managing medication. The ‘Smart Sharps bin”, designed for injectable medication management, tightly monitors patients digitally, keeping them adherent to their prescription and leveraging real time data to drive clinical intervention.

The expansion of HealthBeacon HQ makes way for advanced manufacturing processes and to accommodate their growing data science team.

Their growth has been driven by global demand from the pharmaceutical industry.

Speaking at the event, Jim Joyce, CEO of HealthBeacon said: “2018 has been a fast track year for HealthBeacon and today reflects our successes and our ongoing continued investment here in Ireland, our global HQ. The company has entered multiple new markets this year and received FDA clearance allowing us to enter the US market, with the world’s only Smart Sharps Adherence Platform. Looking forward, we are committed to continuing contributing to Ireland’s reputation as a global leader offering innovative best in class healthcare solutions.”
