Dublin Fire Brigade tackle house fire in Palmerstown

The importance of keeping doors closed at home was highlighted again tonight when Dublin Fire Brigade tackled a fire in the Palmerstown area.

The blaze at a house started in the kitchen and was contained there thanks to the door being closed.

Units from both Tallaght and Dolphin’s Barn raced to the fire earlier tonight.

In a message Dublin Fire Brigade said: “Dolphin’s Barn and Tallaght attended a kitchen fire in Palmerstown earlier.

“Extensive damage but contained to kitchen by a closed door.”
