eBeauty - Holiday Glam

Welcome back to this week’s eBeauty Blog, I hope everyone is having a good start to their Summer, even if the sun hasn’t made its appearance yet. Holiday season is among us and whether you’re going on a chilled weekend away or you’re hitting Ibiza with the girls, this is your step by step tutorial on how to achieve the perfect ‘Holiday Glam’ makeup look.

  1. Strobe Cream

Strobe cream is one of my all-time favourite makeup products. I use it as a primer to add radiance and glow to my skin and also help prolong the wear of my foundation. Use it in Summer, to enhance you summer glow or use it in the colder months, to add luminosity and brighten up dull skin.

  1. NYX Tinted Veil

I went on a bit of a makeup shopping spree a while ago and ended up picking this product up. It is almost like a BB Cream but I wouldn’t wear it on its own as I don’t think it gives great coverage. However, this is a lifesaver if you suffer from red skin, rosacea, uneven skin tone. It completely visible evens out skin tone and reduces redness without making you look grey.

  1. L’Oreal Truematch Lumi Foundation

I actually bought this foundation while on holidays in Miami a couple of months ago, as a light foundation to wear at night time and fell in love with it. It does exactly what it says on the tin, gives a light-medium coverage and gives a “lit from within” look.

  1. Cream Contour

I ALWAYS cream contour. It isn’t necessary but I do think it adds to the gorgeous sunkissed look that I’m going for. I love a warm, bronzy base and I think it would be hard to achieve this without cream contouring. For summer, I find it best to use less powder products as it takes away from the glow, so I prefer cream contouring and setting that with a powder bronzer.

  1. Concealer

Concealer is one of my favourite parts of doing my makeup. I use concealer to brighten my face by applying it to the highest points of my face and blending outwards into cream contour and foundation. My favourite concealers are either Catrice Camouflage, Maybelline FitMe or Nars Radiant Creamy.

  1. Cream Blusher

Like cream contour, cream blusher just creates a gorgeous, natural base for any powder blushers we will use. Cream products such as blushers/contours are also gorgeous used on mature skin and they wont sit in any fine lines or wrinkles.

  1. Powder Blush/Bronzers

Like I said, less powder products the better for this look. Instead of setting the face with powder and creating a matte finish, I am just setting the cream products, while adding warmth and colour to the skin. My favourite bronzer and blusher at the moment are BareMinerals ‘Warmth’ bronzer and ‘Mac Just a Pinch’ Blusher.

  1. Highlighter

For this look I really went hell for leather with the highlighter. I applied it to the nose, cheekbones, temples, chin, cupid’s bow, brow bone and inner corner of the eye to make sure you can catch that “faux glow” at every angle.
