Gardai launch investigation after elderly brothers found dead in Bluebell

The grim find was made on the quiet Mellrose Estate cul-de-sac, off Bluebell Avenue, in Dublin 12.

A garda source confirmed the incident, but said it was too early to ascertain the cause of death, and no further details were available at this time.

One local resident said the community were shocked at the discovery, which saw a garda car parked outside the house all day.

“They were elderly men, who stuck to themselves, but have been living here a long time,” said one local man, who called it a “terrible tragedy.”

Kilmainham Gardai are investigating the incident.
