IT Tallaght students give their reaction to the closure of the on-campus creche

NEARLY 50 IT Tallaght students are faced with the prospect of deferring college or dropping out following the closure of the on-campus crèche for the 2017/2018 term – a situation which has also resulted in 14 childcare workers facing redundancy.

On Monday, the Student Union met with concerned parents to talk through the issue, which college officials have stated is down to the tender procurement process – which takes place every three years.
