Let's Walk! Join one of these free community-led walks

COMMUNITIES across South Dublin County are being invited to take part in one of 20 free, weekly walks, which promote healthy recreation and physical and mental wellbeing.

Organised by South Dublin County Sports Partnership, the walks will run for the duration of RTE’s healthy living programme, Operation Transformation.

Training is also being provided for those leading the walks, with free training for walk leaders on Wednesday, January 31 from 7pm to 9.30pm in Perrystown Community Centre on Limekiln Lane.

The training will include local route planning and management, health and safety, insurance cover, walking posture, different styles of walking and maximising the benefit of walking for fitness and weight loss.

Any other groups organising walks that are not listed on the below schedule are encouraged to make contact with the sports partnership, which can offer support and promote details.
