Man (40) appears in Tallaght court in relation to murder of Andrew Guerrine near Rathcoole

A man (40s) has appeared in Tallaght court this morning charged in connection with the murder of Andrew Guerrine near Rathcoole in 2015.

Mr Guerrine’s body was found at the Steelstown Lane on May 23, 2015 and a later post-mortem examination showed he had died in violent circumstances.

In June of 2015 Gardai investigating the murder arrested a 37-year-old man in the Tallaght area, but he was later released.

In a statement released this lunchtime a Garda spokesperson said: “A 40-year-old man appeared before Tallaght District this morning, Thursday 27th July 2017 charged in connection with the murder of Andrew Guerrine whose body was discovered at Steelstown Lane near Rathcoole Co Dublin on the 23rd May 2015.”
