Masked men threaten staff with knife during robbery at shop in Citywest estate

Gardai in Tallaght are investigating a terrifying robbery at a local shop in a local estate last night.

At approximately 9pm at the Spar shop in the Belfry estate in Citywest, two masked men entered and threatened staff with a knife.

The men took a sum of cash and made their getaway through the Belfry estate.

In a statement released to, a garda spokesperson said: “Two males entered the premises threatened staff with a knife and stole a sum of cash.

“Both men were masked and fled in the direction of Belfry estate.

“CCTV will be viewed as part of the investigation and no one was injured.”
