No Luas running to Tallaght or Saggart due to damaged power lines at Belgard

There is no Luas red line service running to Tallaght or Saggart this morning after overhead power lines near Belgard were damaged.

According to Luas operators, tickets are valid on Dublin Bus, and they plan to run an alternative bus soon.

In a statement the operators said: “Please be advised there is no service between Red Cow / Tallaght and Saggart due to a fault with the overhead cables at Belgard.

Luas tickets are valid on Dublin Bus. Alternative bus service will be in place soon. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

The disruption follows a stoppage on the line yesterday when a tram and car collided at Fettercairn.
