The startup designs smart systems for tracking fleets and monitoring driver behaviour.

They will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of Jack Teeling, from Teeling Whiskey, who was the Emerging category winner in 2017.

In 2017, ProVision raised €1 million to speed up its push into the UK, and they currently have offices in Parkwest and Kent.

Their technology provides remotely accessible IoT solutions to manage and reduce fleet risk, enhance driver safety, increase fleet efficiencies and help operators comply with growing governance and compliance regulations.

Kevin McLoughlin, Partner Lead for the EY Entrepreneur of The Year said: “Cutting-edge technology businesses are prominent again this year, alongside a strong mix of more traditional businesses. The standard of the finalists is reflective of a very healthy entrepreneurial community on the island of Ireland. “These entrepreneurs are the ones bravely taking risks to drive innovation and create employment in every town and village across the island, something EY has been very proud to be able to directly support over the last 22 years.

Over a 10-month period, the 24 finalists will engage in a strategic programme of activities geared towards accelerating their professional growth and development.

The winner will be announced in November.
