Rapid response from DFB in Tallaght stops truck fire taking hold

Dublin Fire Brigade were called to what could have been a disastrous situation in Tallaght this morning.

Members from A Watch attended the scene where a fire had started in the back of a truck carrying shredded paper.

Thankfully the quick action of the controller who took the emergency call and firefighters on the ground meant the fire did not take hold.

In a statement DFB said: “A Watch from Tallaght have extinguished a fire in a document shredding truck.

“Quick actions by operator and FF’s stopped the fire taking hold.”
