Seniors Social Club starts in The Square...

A SOCIAL club that gives senior citizens an opportunity to meet new faces while trying different activities has kicked off in The Square shopping centre. 

The Seniors Social Club provides free weekly activities every Tuesday from 11am out of the new Senior Social unit on Level 1.

The first event was a photography for beginners’ class, with the next event planned for this coming Tuesday, February 18, being an Art Class – Water Colours Beginners to Improvers. 

In the build-up to the St Patrick’s Day: Irish Music Recital on March 17, the club will be hosting Tai Chi on February 25, a waltz dance class on March 3 and a mindfulness class on March 10. 

All particpiants of the Senior Club will receive a voucher for a tea/coffee and a scone for €1.50 in Kay’s Kitchen.
