Tallaght woman pleads with the public for help to find rescue dog

A devastated Tallaght woman is pleading with the public to help her in the search for her beloved Beagle after the dog went missing recently.

Jamie Greene from Jobstown took Leo in after he was rescued by the ISPCA having been subjected to a disgusting six years of abuse.

Leo had only been with his new family for five days, and although he was frightened, Jamie told Echo.ie he was slowly warming to his new family and they had struck up a special bond.

Speaking with Echo.ie this afternoon, Jamie said: “We only had him five days. We rescued him the week before from the ISPCA in Longford.

“He was born in captivity and had been in a cage for six years. He had never been outside until the ISPCA got him five weeks ago.

“He was terrified of people due to his past but was slowly coming around to us.”

Sadly, he managed to get out of the house and was too quick to be caught.

He was later spotted near the Jobstown House pub last Friday evening and again on Saturday.

The family are now offering a reward for his return and a Facebook page has been created in the hope someone will spot him.
