The lengths local people will go to in order to bury good news!!!

It seems some people will go to great lengths to bury good news – at least that’s the case for a group of locals on holidays in Portugal.

For many years we have been encouraging people to take their Echo on tour with them, but rarely have we received a picture like the one we were sent by Joanne Kellet.

As far as we know the man buried beneath the golden sand is Tallaght native Keith Purdy, who we are told spent the evening cleaning the sand out of his ears (among other places!).

Again, thanks to Joanne for the picture, and don’t forget to send your holiday snaps with your Echo to us on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.
