Newlands Taekwon-do Club’s European champion Kamil Falowski will be hoping to defend his title when he travels to Bratislava in April.

Nikola Fomkin earned a double bronze in Under 9 Boys Intermediate Light Contact and Point Fighting before European bronze medallist Zach Lamari took gold in the Under 14 Advanced Light Contact class and bronze in Point Fighting.

Team mate Sean Hawkins enjoyed the same results in the Boys Advanced Under 16 section while siblings Donnacha and Mya Mullins both recorded third place finishes in their respective novice categories.

Clubmates Ross Gaynor and Yusuf Kanafunzi met in both the Boys Under 10 Advanced Point Fighting and Light Continuous Finals, the former outscoring Kanafunzi in Point before having to settle for the runner-up spot in Light Continuous.

Unfortunate not to medal at this tournament was Natalia Blaszke who was narrowly beaten in the Girls Advanced Under 12 Point division.
