Busy times for Dublin ladies teams in championship

By William O'Connor

IT WAS a busy time on the playing fields for the County with three teams in championship action last weekend. Congratulations to our minor team who qualified for the Leinster semi-final with a convincing win over Offaly, 5-14 to 0-02.

Our U16’s also chalked up a good win this time over Kildare, final score 2-19 to 2-04. While our U14’s battled hard against a strong Kildare outfit that held out for the four point win, Kildare 3-10 Dublin 3-06.

Thanks to both St Peregrines GAA and Dublin GAA (O’Toole Park) for hosting our games last weekend.

This weekend both the U16 and U14 teams will be in action again this time versus Laois, venues and times to be confirmed.

The next meeting of the Dublin LGFA County Board will take place on Tuesday the 19th of April at 7.30pm in Parnell Park.

Items for inclusion on the agenda should be with County Secretary Mary O’Connor on or before Monday April 11th.
