GRASP members win Northern titles

By Stephen Leonard

GRASP Martial Arts made quite an impact on the last KBI tournament of the year, the Northern Open in Carrickmacross with two of their members Jack McCormack and Emma Dignam going all their way in their respective divisions.

Competing at -63kg, the former made it through a close semi-final on a 2-1 split decision before cruising home in the decider in which he carded a 3-0 majority decision.

Dignam, meanwhile, won both her fights and met a tough opponent in the final, but still took a 3-0 decision.

It was a big boost for these competitors and GRASP which is looking forward to the last tournament of the year “Best of the Best” in the Roadstone Club on Saturday.
