Payne makes the move to Bristol

HEATHER Payne is one of three forwards snapped up by Women’s Super League outfit Bristol City.

The Republic of Ireland striker has played with Peamount United for the past three seasons and is now following in the footsteps of another former Peamount star Louise Quinn who currently plies her trade with Arsenal Ladies.

Payne, together with ex- Apollan Limassol player Rosella Ayane and former Kolbotn Fotbal striker Juliette Kemppi, have signed up with the WSL outfit ahead of the new season.

Looking forward to the new challenge, Payne told BCWFC website “It’s fantastic to be signing with Bristol City Women and to be able to experience the Women’s Super League this season.

“I’m looking forward to learning and developing my game here. It’s the club that is right for me at this stage in my career” she insisted.
