TUD Tallaght hold their own in All-Ireland finals

TUD Tallaght Boxing Club carded three wins at the recent All-Ireland Inter-varsity league.

Samuel Ilesanmi, after a great performance in the semi-finals where he beat Eithan Ntiinenya, com-pleted his march to the Male Junior Novice 91+kg title with a superb win over Isreal Akinniranye.

The Senior Novice 66kg decider was an all TUD Tallaght BC affair as Andre Mendes and Jean Galino went head to head with the former emerging victorious.

Rony Feuillet received a walkover in the Inter-mediate 91kg division while Jamie Aido lost to Darren O’Connor in their 63kg Intermediate final.

It was a very encouraging showing by these TUD Tallaght boxers who had been preparing for the Intervarsities under St Mary’s BC Head Coach Noel Burke.
