Gardai seize €70,000 worth of Heroin in Tallaght

Gardai have tonight seized heroin with an estimated value of €70,000 in Tallaght.

As a result of an ongoing Operation by Gardai from the District Drug Unit attached to Tallaght Garda station into the sale and supply of controlled substances in the Tallaght area, a house was searched at Castle Lawns, Tallaght.

During the course of the search Gardai discovered a half Kilo of Heroin(subject to analysis) with an approximate street value of €70,000.

One 24-year-old man was arrested and is being detained at Tallaght Garda station under the provisions of section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 as amended.
