#JustForFun: What's next for Robbie Keane
With Robbie Keane bringing to an end his record breaking international career, how likely are we to see him doing the ‘Jobstown Jive’ on Ireland’s Strictly Come Dancing?
According to BoyleSports the former Republic of Ireland captain is 11/4 to be a contestant on RTE’s new show, while he is 25/1 to be a contestant on Celebrity Big Brother in 2017.
Along with the ‘Jobstown Jive’, we could see the Glenshane man doing the ‘Tallaght Tango’ while busting some moves to Barry Manilow’s ‘Cocos-Cabana’.
Among other post football careers, BoyleSports have Keane at 33/1 to star in a Hollywood movie, and with the role of James Bond currently up for grabs, who knows, we could see the former sharpshooter, AKA 00-Jobstown, finally given a Licence to Kill-inarden.
Other side projects could include Robbie launching his own clothing range, which BoyleSports have at 8/1, with such brand names as ‘Tallaght Threads’ and ‘Keane’s Klobber’, already popular online.
Most think the LA Galaxy man will release an autobiography by the end of the year (11/2 with BoyleSports), and the title, ‘It was always my dream’, looks to be a certain frontrunner.
Whatever Robbie does in the future we wish him the very best, and if he ever wants a guest column in Tallaght’s best loved newspaper, he knows where we are!
