Tallaght firefighters battle gorse fire in Crooksling

Units from Dublin Fire Brigade have dealt with a gorse fire just off the Blessington Road in Crooksling this afternoon.

Over the past two weeks DFB have been battling gorse fires across the county as dry conditions continue.

On Tuesday firefighters from Tallaght dealt with a similar blaze in Adamstown in Lucan, near the Paddocks.

Today’s fire was dealt with by members of C Watch from Tallaght fire station.

In a message posted via the official Dublin Fire Brigade Twitter account, they said: “C Watch Tallaght have dealt with a gorse fire off the Blessington Rd near Crooksling.

“Dry countryside at the moment, be aware.”
