Tymon North Maxol set for new heights with charity skydive

By Mary Dennehy

THE new owner of the Maxol service station in Tymon North has jumped feet first into his new business, with the Tallaght native doing a sky dive for charity Aware this Tuesday, October 25.

Growing up in Castle Lawns. Carl Mc Donagh became the owner/manager of Maxol Tymon North in May, after his mother and step-father moved on from the business which they had run for seven years.

Carl, who had been working in one of Maxol’s flagship stores in Sandyford, told Echo.ie: “I expressed my interest in becoming the new licensee of the Maxol Tymon North and was delighted when I got word that I had been successful.

“We will be investing into the site and so far we’ve put a new canopy on the forecourt and introduced a brand new solid fuel room – with more plans in the pipeline.”

Carl and two of his staff members, Conor Phelan and Aaron Owens, are also taking to the skies this coming Tuesday, when they jump for mental health charity Aware – which is Maxol’s charity partner.

“All of the stores have been encouraged to try and raise money for Aware and we’re doing a skydive”, Carl said.

“We’ve had great support from the community and the local schools…and anybody else who’d like to support us and Aware, is invited to drop in.

“We’re looking forward to it…Aaron is mad for it but myself and Conor are a bit nervous but we’ll get there!”

Sponsor Carl, Conor and Aaron €5 to be entered into a raffle for a great prize.
