SOUTH Dublin County Council has claimed that vandalism is the cause of  severe damage” to the public lighting that leads to the National Basketball Arena in Tymon.

The council stated this at Monday’s monthly meeting of the Tallaght Area Committee, where they added that their Public Lighting Section had “sourced a suitable fitting that will be more vandal-proof”.
