Bird poses for selfie after farmer helps following window crash

Glenasmole farmer Donie Anderson came to the rescue of a little bird that flew into a window in Manor Kilbride recently.

After some water, the little bird felt much better and even posed for a selfie with Donie before flying off.

Piping hot performance from St Joseph's Pipe Band

St. Joseph's Pipe Band, Clondalkin, put in a piping hot performance at the recent World Championships, with the local band's pipers making it into the Top Six and its drummers being crowned World Champions!

Killinarden man half-way through eight-marathon challenge

Killinarden man Patrick Thompson finished his fourth marathon in four days for the Tallaght Cancer Support Group.

Patrick is now half way through an eight-marathon challenge to raise funds for the charity, which provides free services to local people touched by cancer and their families.

Former Dublin Lions Basketball Club players help with summer camp

Former Dublin Lions Basketball Club players and Clondalkin and Lucan locals Aidan Harris Igiehon, Max Amadasun and Kevin Anyanwu are looking to fulfil their dreams of eventually breaking into the NBA.

They, along with former Liffey Celtics player Silas Sunday, were home from the US this month to help out with a Lions summer camp in Coláiste Bríde and The Echo caught up with them.
