On Friday, July 5, ASC celebrated their ten-year anniversary with a birthday cake, and the camp was visited by Mayor Vicky Casserly who promised to support ASC after interacting with children and commending the group’s good work.

This year’s camp theme was ‘Solidarity for a Better World.’ Activities included Frisbee, soccer, swimming, and rugby at the Tallaght Leisure Centre, and also activities like gardening and arts and crafts.

The newest event in the programme, Skipathon, was added to the activity book this year. The event raised funds for the Irish Heart Foundation, which aims to promote healthy and active lifestyles.

Celebrating the diversity of Adamstown, the camp welcomed over 150 participants that come from various different backgrounds. Participants came from Ireland and also migrant backgrounds which included Bangladesh, India, Moldova, Nigeria, Pakistan, Poland, Russia, Sudan and many more.
