Gardai investigate after teenage girl assaulted by man while out walking

GARDAI are investigating after a girl in her late teens was assaulted by a man while walking on Daletree Avenue, Ballycullen.

According to reports, the teenager was allegedly punched in the face by a man in a red hoodie while she was walking towards Parklands at around 6pm on Thursday, December 28.

It is believed that the man approached the teenager before hitting her in the face and fleeing in the direction of Daletree Road.

While investigations are ongoing into the incident, no arrests have yet been made.

In a statement to Echo.ie, a Garda spokesman said: “Gardaí are investigating an assault incident at Daletree Avenue, Ballycullen, Dublin 24 on December 28 at approximately 6pm.

“A female received non-life threatening injuries as a result.  

“No arrests have been made, investigation ongoing.”
