Man arrested after armed standoff with Gardai in Crumlin

GardaCrest largeGardai have arrested a man following an armed stand-off at a house in Crumlin this afternoon.

Officers were called to Cashel Road at 3.15pm, where a man had barricaded himself into a house, with a large Garda presence being reported.

The road was cordoned off while Gardai dealt with the situation, but has reopened since.

The man is now in Garda custody.
