Speakers on the day will include Aiden Lloyd from The Rights Platform, Dr Seamus Taylor, Maynooth University, Shane O’Curry, European Network against Racism Ireland, and Allen Meagher, Editor of Changing Ireland.

Discussion groups will also be formed to examine what can be done locally and nationally.

It is the aim of the seminar to raise awareness locally of hate speech and hate crime while also establishing the impact hate crime has had on the community.

It is also hoped that the seminar will help support communities going forward.

The seminar is being organised by the Rights Platform and South Dublin County Public Participation Network (PPN).
