A WALK-in test centre for people who do not have symptoms of Covid-19 is opening at Tallaght Stadium for four days this week.

The temporary test centre will open at the stadium on Whitestown Way from Monday, May 10, to Thursday, May 13, from 11am to 7pm daily.

This is the third time that a walk-in, ‘no appointment necessary’ asymptomatic test centre has opened at Tallaght Stadium.

According to the HSE, the walk-in test centres are for people who wish to get tested as part of efforts to identify the wider spread of Covid-19 in the community.

The free Covid-19 testing centre, which does not require referral from a GP, can be used by people over the age of 16.

The centre is for people who do not have symptoms of Covid-19 but would like to be tested, and who have not tested positive for Covid-19 in the last six months.

Those who attend must bring photo ID and provide a mobile phone number for results.

The HSE has asked people with symptoms of Covid-19 to not attend the walk-in test centre and to contact their GP for a test.
