Gardai seize 'significant' amount of guns and ammo in Baldonnel raid

Gardai have seized a significant amount of guns and ammunition during a search of a premises in Baldonnel today.

The seizure was made at an industrial unit in the area, and was part of ongoing operations targeting organised crime.

In a statement released this afternoon a garda spokesperson said: “An Garda Síochána, targeting organised crime groups have made a significant firearms and ammunition seizure at an industrial estate in Baldonnel, County Dublin today.”

A media briefing headed by Detective Superintendent Tony Howard of the Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau will take place this afternoon in Dublin Castle.
