Have you spotted any? Here’s 9 new Dublin Canvas creations in local communities…

AFTER a hugely successful expansion into South Dublin County in 2018, Dublin Canvas is back in local communities this summer. 

The inclusive Dublin Canvas project has given artists a chance to dash their local community with colour and now, this summer, 58 fresh utility boxes have been delegated for make-overs around the county.

Here are nine already completed boxes from across local communities…

This Vincent van Gogh inspired photo, ‘Starry Night at Tallaght Stadium’ was painted last week by artist John Hoban just outside the home of Shamrock Rovers, on Whitestown Way.

The creative ‘Leaping Tigers’ was designed by illustrator, HC Gordon on Ninth Lock Road in Clondalkin.

‘Suburban Paradise’ was designed by Shauna Heron, depicting herself and her dog Ruby on a stroll in Knocklyon.

Art teacher Qandeel Kafeel is pictured here with her wonderful piece of artwork called ‘Arthur Joseph Griffith’ at the junction of Esker Drive and Esker Cottages in Lucan.

Another great artwork of a dog, ‘Jack Russell’ was painted by Linda McKernan on the corner of Ninth Lock Road and Thomas Omer Way in Clondalkin.

This spooktacular tribute to Tallaght legend Paddy Finlay, also known as ‘Paddy Drac’ was illustrated by Dublin Fire Brigade firefighter/paramedic, Geoff Tracey, on the Old Bawn Road.

‘Flower Power’ by Fiona Murphy heaps on the colour next to Knocklyon United’s Ballycullen pitches.

A striking piece of artwork, ‘Heart – Hand Grenade’ was made by Lisa McHugh right across from the Blackhorse Luas Stop in Drimnagh.

On route to Weston Airport, ‘Up and Away’ by artist Claire Murphy is located on the Cooldrinagh Road in Lucan.
