Lucky escape for person in Tallaght house fire

By Mark Keane

Dublin Fire Brigade (DFB) attended a “well-developed” house fire in Tallaght last night.

Three fire engines attended the fire on Sunday night, which saw one person escape to safety after being woken by the house’s smoke alarm.

According to DFB, “The alarm gave the time to allow for escape.”

As a result of the incident, DFB stressed the importance of people changing their smoke alarms every 10 years.
