Major fire at Thornton’s recycling in Ballyfermot

Dublin Fire Brigade are dealing with an industrial blaze at Thornton’s recycling in Ballyfermot this evening.

Eight units from Dublin Fire Brigade are dealing with the blaze and people living in the area are advised to close all windows.

Pumps from Tallaght, Tara Street and Dolphins Barn are currently at the scene in Kylemore which started just after 7.30pm.

Motorists are advised to avoid the Kylemore area.

“Eight units are currently attending a large fire in an industrial premises in Kylemore Ballyfermot” said Dublin Fire Brigade.

“As a precaution close all windows if you're affected by the smoke plume”.
