Pedestrian killed after being struck by truck

Gardaí are currently at the scene of a Fatal Road Traffic Collision involving a truck and a pedestrian which occurred at Meath Street, Dublin 8 shortly before midday today.

A male pedestrian (no age at present) was pronounced dead at the scene and the driver of the truck has been brought to St James Hospital with minor injuries.

The road has been closed for Forensic Collision investigators and diversions are in place.
