Tallaght teen (13) to be remembered at Kingswood school tomorrow

The Tallaght teenager who tragically lost his life after a motocross accident yesterday in Derry has been named locally as 13-year-old, Daniel Sheridan.

A former student of St Kilian’s Senior School in Kingswood, Daniel was due to start first year of secondary school today.

The sad and sudden news of Daniel’s passing has left his family, friends and the wider Tallaght community in mourning, with St Killian’s Senior School open tomorrow (Saturday, August 27) at 12pm for anybody who would like to gather in remembrance of Daniel.

In a message on its Facebook page, St Kilian’s Parents Association wrote: “The Parents Association would like to extend its deepest sympathies to Daniel Sheridan's family and friends.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

“St Kilian's Senior School will be open tomorrow at 12pm midday for those of you who would like to gather in remembrance.

“May he rest in peace.”
